HEART CHAKRA / Anahata: “unstruck” / “physical purpose”

♥Associated with the heart, lungs, circulatory system, arms, muscles, respiratory system, hands, skin, immune system, and thymus.

Optional Quick Activity: Before you read any further, sit on the ground as comfortably as you can, closing your eyes and feeling the mentioned body parts, your lungs, your heart, your arms, hands.  What do these body parts symbolize? What do you feel when you think of them? What do they tell you your heart chakra is associated with?
Meaning:
This chakra controls your social identity.
This encompasses love, unconditional love, healing, respect, compassion, joy, balance, calming.
It controls connection, deep bonds, altruism, hope, the bigger picture.
It controls how loving you are to others and yourself.
HEART CHAKRA’S CHALLENGE: Grief
 
BLOCKED, UNDER-ACTIVE & OVER-ACTIVE HEART:
Physical Symptoms: An unbalanced heart chakra can result in high blood pressure, lethargy, asthma, pneumonia, auto-immune disorders, muscle tension, breathing difficulties, chest pain, heart problems like heart attacks.
Emotional/Mental Symptoms: Passiveness, fear, guilt, jealousy, resentment, anger, martyr, fear of intimacy, overly defensive, hurt and bitterness.
♥Over-active Heart Chakra: Emotions rule you, manipulative, over critical, judgmental of yourself and others, conditional love, people pleaser, giving but not receiving in relationships, find it hard to let go of relationships that no longer serve you.

♥Under-active Heart Chakra: Negative in your thinking, negative outlook on life, unloved, unworthy, underappreciated, hard time trusting others.

Balanced Heart Chakra: You will feel great compassion for all living creatures and will recognize their intelligence.  You will be kind, caring, understand, joyoius, outgoing and feel at ease with yourself and the people in your life. You will understand and accept others and yourself. You will not mind spending time alone and will not rush into one relationship after another. You will wait for the “right one” to come to you when the time is right.  You will not be judgemental.
STARTING THE HEART CHAKRA DETOX/OPEN:
Start this day preferably on a Wednesday, the day after you open your Solar Plexus Chakra.
 
For optimal results:
 
1. Your day should start with your Heart Chakra Affirmation before breakfast but after a glass of water.
2. Your breakfast should be the most important, fulling meal of the day. Prepare the night before if you must.  Do not have too much sugar and stick to complex carbs.
3. Journal: Is your Heart Chakra balanced, over-active or under-active? What are some things you would like to change, mentally/emotionally, physically or spiritually about this chakra?  And any other thoughts, fears, both positives and negatives.

Today you should be wearing green.  You should be eating mostly green foods, spices/herbs, and green tea. Green  items, such as candles, are a plus. You can journal in green pen.  Don’t stress too much if you do not have many of these items on hand–this workshop is not about buying, materialism or worry. Anything green will do. (Pink also works)

EATING FOR THE HEART CHAKRA:
You should be focusing on green foods, spices/herbs, and green tea.
Green vegetables: Spinach, kale, dandelion greens, broccoli, cabbage, celery, green peas, green peppers, leeks, green onions, watercress, zucchini, brussel sprouts, bok choy, arugula, mustard greens, lettuce, sprouts, etc
Air vegetables: Cauliflower, squash
Spices/Herbs: Basil, sage, thyme, cilantro, parsley, fennel, marshmallow, oatstraw, hawthorn, meadowsweet, etc
Liquids: Green tea
MEDITATION:
This is where you consciously are activating, opening & balancing your heart chakra. You are setting your Chakras up for alignment.  Alignment does not happen until the last Chakra activation, opening and balancing. This meditation is ESSENTIAL to this workshop.
Wear green. It is suggested you wear moderately tight clothes. It should not be TOO tight that they will be uncomfortable but it is not recommended that you wear loose clothes because this gets in the way both physically and spiritually.
Sit comfortably. Cross-legged isn’t always the most comfortable position so do what works for you. Dim the lights or draw the curtains just so. The room can be silent or you can put on one of the four sound videos found below. The last link pronounces “YAM” for you.
JUST MUSIC – NO TALKING OR GUIDANCE *RECOMMENDED to listen to during meditation*
VIBRATION – VISUAL GUIDANCE IS OPTIONAL
YAM MANTRA CHANTING *RECOMMENDED you play for a minute before you set up for meditation to understand how to use your mantra*
If you are lighting candles, do this now. Set your stones and crystals out at the base of your mat if you are using any.  Burn your incense, and/or apply essential oils (mixed with carrier oils) to your pulse points.  Put on the recommended music.  Sit down comfortably.
 
Now you will meditate:
Sit comfortably, tall, with a straight spine and your head up, with your arms soft and at your sides or fallen comfortably over your legs.
 
Soften your eyes, breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth, feeling each breath fill your stomach and then expel through your mouth, releasing all the negative energy built up from your heart chakra.  Don’t regulate your breath. Let it be natural.
 
Your heart is located in the center of your chest, where your heart resides.  Feel your heart chakra as you sit. This is the chakra that spins with the will to love unconditionally.
 
Visualize a green lotus flower in the center of your chest. Feel it spinning clockwise, slowly, gaining speed. It is turning into a radiant, bright green ball of energy, the color of grass, of blooming spring, its leaves reaching out, nourishing, renewing, healing.
This is your Chakra of Love and Self-development. Breathe deep into your chest, filling your Heart.  Breathe, taking in nourishment and power to love.  Take what it needs.
Say the words:
“I am greatly loved”
“I allow myself to give and receive love freely”
“I am nourished by the power of love”
Visualize the green ball blowing freely in the air, spinning with the power of love.
Chant your mantra:
YAM
Until you feel your heart open, flowing with the green that grows, that flourishes with love.
Breathe deep, filling up your belly, your chest, your lungs.
Breathe out, releasing guilt, self-loathing, judgements, loneliness.
When you are ready, become aware of the air on the surface of your body, the sounds around you, the scents and sensations.
Allow your Heart to rest, visualizing it pulling back up to your heart, filling up the space in your chest, forming a slowly spinning clockwise lotus once again.
Rest this lotus, becoming aware of the pleasure of life in your belly, in your lungs.
Notice how you feel.
Hold yourself with loving kindness for the beautiful, unique being that you are.
When you are ready, draw this meditation to a close.
Snuff out candles, incense. Hold stones and crystals for a few moments, feeling their energy in your hands.  They should feel safe, welcome.  Put these back in their resting place.
You can say your affirmations again if you would like while standing firmly, feet routed to the ground, stomach strong and spine tall, confident, with your hands to your heart.
Now that you have activated and opened your Heart Chakra, you can continue balancing your Heart by partaking in physical exercises found below.  This meditation has helped you improve your focus.  Now that you are focused, you can target your muscles easier.  This makes for a successful work out.  Physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health are all connected.
HEART CHAKRA EXERCISE:
Planks, push ups, arm workouts, chest workouts
Additonal Activities (Recommended):
 
1. Write down positive affirmations.  Speak them out loud while looking in a mirror.
2. Hug and touch others and yourself.

3. Pull a tarot card from the Swords suit.

4. Spend time in green nature.
5. Feel the breeze in your hair, on your neck.
6. While meditating, send love to everyone you know.
7. Sensual massage. This Chakra is all about touch. Use green essential oils like mint or rosemary, with olive/hemp/grape seed oils, and massage yourself, observing each touch and how it makes you feel.
Now that you have Activated, Opened and Balanced your Root Chakra, Sacral Chakra, Solar Plexus Chakra, and Heart Chakra, you have balanced all your PHYSICAL Chakras and PHYSICAL/SPIRITUAL Chakras. Tomorrow you will focus on your Throat Chakra
CHAPTER FIVE
 
THROAT CHAKRA / Visuddha: “pure place” / “higher purpose”
♥This is the fifth chakra, modernly associated with the color blue, symbolized by the sixteen-petal lotus.
Found at the throat, controlling the Will To Express & To Speak
Associated with the throat, ears, mouth, nose, shoulders, neck, thyroid, parathyroid, vocal cord, esophagus, teeth, trachea, cervical vertebrae of the spine, and arms.
Element: Akasha (æther) a plane where past experiences are recorded

Movement: Clockwise spin
Shape: Crescent
♥Maintains the SPIRITUAL

Meaning:
This chakra controls your communication, creativity, and healing.
This encompasses soothing, relaxing, power of faith, will, choice, originality.
It controls your authenticity, your voice, your inner truth.

It controls your seek for knowledge, beyond limitations and space and time, beyond cultural and family conditioning.
It challenges doubt, and negative thinking
It gives you the power to say no, being open and honest in what you need to say, standing up for what you believe in
It controls personal integrity, sense of humor, ability to listen deeply to another
It governs taking responsibility for your needs, decision making and personal authority.
THROAT CHAKRA’S CHALLENGE: Lies
 
BLOCKED, UNDER-ACTIVE & OVER-ACTIVE THROAT:
Physical Symptoms: An unbalanced throat chakra can result in throat lumps, laryngitis, sore throat, tonsilitis, teeth problems, thrust, jaw problems, earaches, sinus infections, thyroid problems, arthritis in shoulders, sore neck, shoulders, arms.
Emotional/Mental Symptoms: Drug addictions, stress.
Over-active Throat Chakra: Over-opinionated, critical of others performance in life, verbally abusive yelling a lot, your way or the highway.
Under-active Throat Chakra: Unable to express yourself, misinterpreted or misunderstood, flakey, telling the truth and being honest with yourself is hard, mixed messages.
Balanced Throat Chakra: You will have no problem expressing yourself in the world! You will be very creative, helpful, and may be good at offering people sound advice when it is asked for. You know what you want out of life and you are not afraid to ask for it, and what you ask for always seems to come to you with no, or little effort on your part. You are not afraid to express your weaknesses and people respect you for this. You are truly free when you can speak your truth.

EATING FOR THE THROAT CHAKRA:

Chant your mantra:
HAM
Until you feel your throat open, flowing with the blue that fills you with creativity and expression.
Breathe deep, filling up your belly, your chest, your lungs.
Breathe out, releasing lies, fear, lack of faith in yourself.
When you are ready, become aware of the air on the surface of your body, the sounds around you, the scents and sensations.
Allow your Throat to rest, visualizing it pulling back up throat, forming a slowly spinning clockwise lotus once again.
Rest this lotus, becoming aware of the pleasure of life in your belly, in your lungs.
Notice how you feel.

Your speech and your metabolism, via the thyroid gland, are connected with the Vishuddha Chakra. Dormant energy here will be redirected to your presentation and communication with the world around you. Sit, and begin to inhale, bringing your chin down and feeling the pressure on your throat while you hold the breath. Stay here as long as is comfortable — without straining. Exhale and repeat five to seven times. Take note of how vibrant your throat chakra feels, and how much more open and free you feel.
Additonal Activities (Recommended):
 
1. Write, draw, sing, paint, talk, dance, express yourself freely.
2. During activities separate from this workshop, wear something that fully expresses you.

3. Pull a tarot card from major arcana.

4. Meditate in nature.
5. Look at the clouds.
Now that you have Activated, Opened and Balanced your Root Chakra, Sacral Chakra, Solar Plexus Chakra, Heart Chakra, and Throat Chakra, you have balanced all your PHYSICAL Chakras and PHYSICAL/SPIRITUAL Chakras, and began your journey on balancing your SPIRITUAL Chakras. Tomorrow you will focus on your Third Eye Chakra
 
CHAPTER SIX
 
THIRD EYE CHAKRA / Ajna: “to perceive” / “to command”
♥This is the sixth chakra, modernly associated with the color indigo, symbolized by the two-petal lotus.
Found at the forehead, controlling the Will To See
Associated with eyes, base of skull, pituitary gland, mind, forehead, pineal gland, neurological system, brow.
Element: All elements combined, Light

Meaning:
This chakra controls clairvoyance, intuition, psychic senses, divine understanding.
This encompasses discernment, wisdom, intelligence, self-reflection.
It controls your ideas, dreams, goals, values and self image.
It is the gateway into higher realms of consciousness, understanding fully, without a doubt that we are truly all One and that our idea of separation from one another is nothing more than an illusion.
It helps you see everything from a witness perspective, living in the moment, the here and now.
It gives you the power to help yourself and others see the deeper meanings of situations.
It controls the balance of the right creative brain and the left analytical.
It governs justice and ethics.
THIRD EYE CHAKRA’S CHALLENGE: Illusion
 
BLOCKED, UNDER-ACTIVE & OVER-ACTIVE THIRD EYE:
Physical Symptoms: An unbalanced third eye chakra can result in headaches, brain cysts, tumors, strokes, blindness, deafness, seizures, insomnia, learning disabilities, spinal dysfunctions, migraines, dizziness, nausea, sinus problems, earaches, hormonal imbalances, and equilibrium dysfunction.
Emotional/Mental Symptoms: Stress, panic, depression, addiction.
Over-active Third Eye Chakra: Stress, headaches in the forehead or temples, delusional, create circumstances in your mind that are not really happening, judgmental, unsympathetic, over-intellectual in their thinking.
Under-active Third Eye Chakra: Difficulty understandings the spiritual side of the world and the connection between your inner and outer reality, lack empathy, lack common sense, lack intuition, memory and learning disabilities.
Balanced Third Eye Chakra: You will begin opening up to Universal Knowledge and truly understand that you are the Creator in your Reality. You will experience Higher states of consciousness, allowing you to astral travel, have out of body experiences, and receive messages from your Spirit Guides, Angels and other Enlightened Beings. You will be very intuitive, have a great memory, and will be able to learn without a problem.

Anything indigo (a mix of dark blue and purple) will do.

You should be focusing on dark-blue foods, antioxidant and omega-rich foods, spices/herbs, and a lot of liquids.  Your meals should be a bit lighter than the rest of the week’s meals.
Dark-blue fruits & vegetables: Blueberries, red grapes, plum, blackberries, eggplant, etc
Antioxidants: Green tea, berries, dark chocolate, broccoli
Omega-Fatty Acids: Nuts, vegetables, seeds like hemp seed, etc

MEDITATION:
This is where you consciously are activating, opening & balancing your third eye chakra. You are setting your Chakras up for alignment.  Alignment does not happen until the last Chakra activation, opening and balancing. This meditation is ESSENTIAL to this workshop.
Wear indigo. It is suggested you wear moderately tight clothes. It should not be TOO tight that they will be uncomfortable but it is not recommended that you wear loose clothes because this gets in the way both physically and spiritually.
Sit comfortably. Cross-legged isn’t always the most comfortable position so do what works for you. Dim the lights or draw the curtains just so. The room can be silent or you can put on one of the four sound videos found below. The last link pronounces “OM” for you.

Soften your eyes, breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth, feeling each breath fill your stomach and then expel through your mouth, releasing all the negative energy built up from your third eye chakra.  Don’t regulate your breath. Let it be natural.
 
Your third eye chakra is located in the center of your forehead, where your mind resides.  Feel your third eye chakra as you sit. This is the chakra that spins with the will to see.
 
Visualize an indigo lotus flower in the center of your forehead. Feel it spinning clockwise, slowly, gaining speed. It is turning into a radiant, bright indigo ball of energy, the color of the evening sky, the navy clouds illuminated in light, soothing, balancing, bringing clarity, insight and understanding.
This is your Chakra of Wisdom and Intuition. Breathe deep into your lungs, filling your Third Eye.  Breathe, taking in nourishment and the power to know deep within yourself.  Take what it needs.
Say the words:
“Everything is unfolding as it should”
Chant your mantra:
OM
Until you feel your third eye open, filling with the indigo that illuminates you with knowledge, with spiritual connectedness to everyone and everything.
Breathe deep, filling up your belly, your chest, your lungs.
Breathe out, releasing delusions, releasing barriers that hold us back.
When you are ready, become aware of the air on the surface of your body, the sounds around you, the scents and sensations.
Allow your Third Eye to rest, visualizing it pulling back up to your forehead, forming a slowly spinning clockwise lotus once again.
Rest this lotus, becoming aware of the pleasure of life in your belly, in your lungs.
Notice how you feel.
Hold yourself with loving kindness for the beautiful, unique being that you are.
When you are ready, draw this meditation to a close.
Snuff out candles, incense. Hold stones and crystals for a few moments, feeling their energy in your hands.  They should feel safe, welcome.  Put these back in their resting place.

Physical Symptoms: An unbalanced crown chakra can result in muscular disease, chronic exhaustion, sensitivity to light and certain sounds or environments.
Emotional/Mental Symptoms: Fatigue, lack of purpose, depressed, angry, fearful.
Over-active Crown Chakra: Unable to control encounters with other realms of existance, considered far out and have trouble grounding yourself, hard to people to take you seriously, god-complex and consider yourself better than others.
Under-active Crown Chakra: Lack of purpose in life, feeling meaningless, unloved, angry at “God”, blame life circumstances on something that is outside of you, co-ordination difficulties, clumsiness, poor balances, new ideas will be hard to grasp, excessively afraid of dying, no desire to discover your inner self.
Balanced Crown Chakra: You will have a great intuitive knowledge, and will be very wise. You will be aware of your spiritual self and be selflessly devoted to the well-being of others because you see them as a part of you, rather than as separate

Become aware of the sounds around you – let them be there.

Notice the light and shade, the air touching the surface of your body.

Sense the sky above, and the horizons stretching all the way round you, the earth below, supporting you.

Allow your mind to empty what it no longer needs to hold on to, let it go, flow out and away. Allow your body to release what it no longer needs to hold on to, let it go, flow out and away.

Draw yourself back from where you’ve been in your day. Draw your energies back home to your centre. Ground yourself in this moment, here.

Begin to sense the space around you. Breathe with the space, and become aware of the rise and fall of your breath, its coming and going, the sensation, sound, temperature.

Breathe down to where the weight of your body rests, below the base of your spine – to your root – your Chakra of Belonging. Breathe into your Root. Let it soften and gently expand on your breath, taking in nourishment and life force energy.

Allow your Root to connect down, down to ground below, deep into the earth. And invite in the colour red – the colour of the earth. Bathe your Root with red: empowering, embodying, grounding you in the ‘here and now’. Let your Root take what it needs. And say the words: “I am here” “I have a right to be here, as I am”, “The Earth supports me”.

When you are ready, allow your awareness to move up to your belly, just below your navel – to your Hara – your chakra of emotional intelligence, choice, creativity, movement and pleasure.

Breathe into your Hara, let it gently soften and expand on your breath, taking in nourishment and life force energy. And invite in orange – the colour of the setting sun, Bathe your Hara, with orange, balancing, empowering, motivating. Let your Hara be fed and say the words: “I honour my needs” ,“I allow myself to be nourished”.

And when you are ready move your awareness up to the soft area below your breast bone, – to your Solar Plexus – your chakra of personal power.

Breathe into here, allowing your solar plexus to soften and expand on your breath. And invite in the colour yellow – the colour of sunshine. Bathe your Solar Plexus with sunshine, replenishing, restoring, nurturing. Letting your Solar Plexus take what it needs. As you say the words, “I value myself” “I am enough”, “I am more than enough” “I am worth my weight in gold”.

When you are ready bring your awareness up to the centre of your chest – to your Heart – your chakra of self-development and unconditional love.

Gently breathe into your Heart, letting it soften and expand on your breath. And invite in green – the colour of spring, or rose pink – whichever feels right. Bathe your heart centre with nourishment, renewal, healing. Let your Heart take what it needs and say the words “I am greatly loved”. “I allow myself to give and receive love freely”. “I am nourished by the power of love”.

In your own time, move up to your neck – to your Throat – your chakra of self-expression and personal will.

Allow your throat centre to soften, expand and b-r-e-a-t-h-e. Inviting in blue – the colour of sky. Breathe sky into your throat centre, clearing, opening, softening the need for control, freeing self-expression and creativity. Let your Throat take what it needs. And say the words “I hear and speak my truth”, “I express myself freely”. “I allow myself to go with the flow of life”.

When you are ready, take your focus up to your forehead – between your eye brows – to your Third Eye – your chakra of wisdom and intuition, gently allowing it to soften, expand, and breathe.

Inviting in indigo – the velvety colour of night sky. Bathe your Third Eye with indigo, soothing, balancing, bringing clarity, insight and understanding. Let your Third Eye take what it needs. And say the words: “Everything is unfolding as it should”.

Moving up, in your own time, to the top of your head- to your Crown, your chakra of ‘oneness’ allowing your Crown to breathe.

And gently invite in a light violet, softly bathing your Crown, balancing, restoring, harmonising. Let your Crown take what it needs. And say the words “I am one with the Universe”. “I am one with the Whole”.

When you are ready come back to yourself as a whole, back to the ebb and flow of your breath, back to your centre. Breathe in to your core. And say the words “I am whole”. “I am perfect just as I am”.

Allow the energy of the words to bathe your body, mind, emotions, spirit. And take what you need.

And, in your own time become aware of the air on the surface of your body. The sounds around you, near and in the distance.

Close your chakras down a little – just having the intention is enough. Become aware of the support beneath you. Notice how you feel. And hold yourself with loving kindness, for the beautiful, unique being that you are.

 

When you are ready you can draw this meditation to a close.

Now that you have Activated, Opened and Balanced your Root Chakra, Sacral Chakra, Solar Plexus Chakra, Heart Chakra, Throat Chakra, Third Eye Chakra, and Crown Chakra, you have balanced all your Seven Chakras, and aligned them.  You should feel happier, more open, joyful about life.
CONGRATULATIONS! You have done such a good job.  Your will power is strong.  Keep your will power strong.  You are divine.
You can continue on to the Eighth Chapter, the Eighth Day, a day of connecting, rainbow, openness, or you can stop here, satisfied with all the work you have done, how healthy physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually you are. With how aligned and open you are.  You should feel balanced.  You are balanced.  Love yourself, your world and everyone around you.
